Awards

The Lake-Lehman Band has reached countless amounts of titles and achievements through out the years ranging from local and international championships to letters and honors from various important people. The awards root back to the days of "Old Man Miliauskis" who set the standards high for this program.

World Famous Festival
Dr. William Revelli, band leader of Michigan University, invited the participation of Lake-Lehman band to the international band festival in Vienna, Austria

National Recognition from "Ruffles and Flourishes" Publication in 1972

Through out the years, students involved with the Lake-Lehman Band achieved many individual honors. Students auditioned and were selected to participate in District Band, Regional Band, All-State Band, All-Eastern Band, and respective Jazz and Orchestra Festivals. Students also were chosen to receive the John Philip Sousa Award, a national award to honor to outstanding band musicians. Students were also chosen annually to receive the "John Miliauskas Award," a tradition that extended past the director's tenure.
