HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!

Indoor Season: Well, our Indoor season has come to a close, our Weekend at Wildwood is over, and now we can rest. OK, that’s enough rest for now! Congratulations to all the teams. High School Color Guard finished in first place and got promoted to Scholastic A! Middle School Color Guard finished in fourth, High School Percussion self-promoted to A class, and came in sixth, and finally, Elementary Percussion finished with a Superior rating! Again, congratulations to all the members, instructors, and all you band parents who helped out during the season.
Indoor Pictures: If anyone has pics of the Indoor Season, I would appreciate you sending them to me. I would like to get them on the band website, as well as make disks for anyone who asks. Also, if you go to www.batemanfoto.com, there are some really good group and action photos that you can purchase. Not all the pictures are up yet, but it should be completed by the end of this coming week.
Indoor Videos: See me at the Band Concerts this week, and I can tell you how to get Videos of the Indoor Groups.
Spring Concerts: Elementary is Wednesday the 14th, and Junior and Senior High School is Thursday the 15th. I believe the concerts begin at 7:30, and the doors open at 7:00, but don’t quote me on that. Elementary Percussion, Middle School Guard, High School Guard, and High School Percussion are performing on Wednesday night. On Thursday night High School Guard is performing once again. Please make plans to enjoy all of these events.
TENTS: We still need help in fixing our tents for the coming graduation season. This fundraiser is vital to our organization, and we need them fixed ASAP. Please call me if you can help!
MEETINGS:
1. The High School Band Sponsors meeting is scheduled for Monday May 19th at 7:00 in the purple hallway of the High School. Elementary Parents are always welcome, as well. We will be electing this year’s Executive Committee at this meeting.
2.  The mandatory meeting for Outdoor Season is May 28th at 6:00p.m.at the High School Band Room.
And finally, June Pocono Races Fundraiser: This is an excellent opportunity to put funds into your student accounts. Students make $7.00 per hour, and adults make $8.00 per hour. Monies can be used for almost anything band related, and we are desperately hoping to go on a band trip this spring, possibly to Disney World. We work the Pepsi Carts and food stands for DJ’s food service. This year we will also be manning new ice cream carts, and we will of course need more people. I really need parents, especially some dads, to come out for this, as we have to stock all of the carts. Requirements: Students must be 14 years of age or older on the day they are working. Anyone can work for the students’ account, including the student, friends, Aunt’s, Uncles, Moms and Dads, or just about anyone. If students work the Friday (June 6th) it is an excused absence. The race dates are June 6, 7, and 8th. If you sign up, you MUST work race day, June 8th. For more info, call me at 328-1143, or see me at the concerts. I will have sign up sheets available at that time.
See you at the concerts!
